Frequently asked questions
In which areas do you currently provide the beauty@home service ?
The areas we usually operate in are shown in the "coverage" section. Unfortunately, I can not routinely travel to areas outside of this except for the special treatment packages. However, you are welcome to travel to the Blackrod treatment base centre. Simply contact us by phone or email for details.
What salon services can you provide at my home ?
We offer all the services that a conventional high street salon can offer but at much more competitive prices and in the comfort of your own home. If you require a service that you do not see listed in the treatment room or on the price list then contact our beauty therapist by email or phone who can provide you with more details.
Does the treatments price list include transport and product costs ?
Yes, all prices shown in the price list are inclusive of labour costs, transport costs, and material costs. There are no extra charges.
Are the products used in treatments of the same standard used in high street salons ?
Yes, all treatments are of the same standard you would expect in high street salons but in the comfort of your own home. The products and materials used in our treatments are also the same professional brands used in professional salons. For more information on the brands we use, please see "the treatment room".
I like to have regular appointments at fixed dates. Can I block book appointments with you ?
Yes, we operate the way you want us too. If you want to have a regular date, then we can arrange that. If however, you like to have appointments at the spur of the moment, then again, simply get in contact and we will book you in. We want to remove the stress of arranging and getting to high street salon appointments.
Unfortunately your opening times are not suitable to my working lifestyle. Can you make exceptions ?
Of course. Please ring me and we can we discuss a convenient time at which you can have your beauty treatments.
Do any of your treatments hurt ?
Electrolysis can be described as a mild pricking or burning sensation which can be uncomfortable rather than painful. Waxing is a mild sharp sensation as one can imagine, but any discomfort passes quickly. The results of both treatments are fantastic.
How do I know your treatments are right for me ?
Our therapist provides thorough consultation before treatments are performed. Recordings are made against required industry standard questionnaires to ensure each individual receives the best possible treatment.
Do you offer Back, Crack, and Sac treatments ?
Unfortunately I am not trained or
comfortable to provide this service. I am happy however, to offer my usual
beauty@home treatments to male clients.
Is the therapist qualified to carry out the treatments ?
Our therapist has extensive experience and training to the highest standard in all our treatments and products. She holds full required certification, and is a member of the International Federation of Health and Beauty Therapists (IFHB). beauty@ home also carries full public liability insurance. Our therapist will happily provide copies of her credentials and insurance on request.
I do not understand some of the terms used in the website ?
No need to worry, our customers are always in our mind. Simply visit our "glossary" section where all the terms are explained in plain English. If the term you do not understand is not mentioned, let our beautician know who will be only to happy to discuss it with you.
